Maintaining Your Growing Roses

What kind of garden personality do you possess? The gardener that likes to live in their garden or more of a passive gardener that will vote for low maintenance. There are a number of high maintenance roses. These are tremendously lovely and make any garden proud. They require a lot of your time and are classified as "modern roses" with a long blooming season and are very fragrant. They are high maintenance and are very susceptible to disease.

Now the other rose classfication known as "old garden roses" have been raised to be disease-resistant and low maintenance. This type of rose blooms for several months and its fragrance has a very stong scent. The downside of this type of rose is that it can aggravate people with strong allergies to fragrances and cause them an awful time after being in contact. However donot despair, you should consider the variety known as "shrub roses."These are disease-resistant and long blooming without the over powering scent.

If you are new at gardening and desire to try your hand growing roses, you might want to try landscape roses. These roses such as "old blush"which rebloom through out the warm weather season and do well as a landscape or a rose from the Rugosa family such as a beautful shrub loaded with flowers. You can also add trellises and plant climbing roses. They are great touch to your garden.
