There are several types of automatic watering device:
Gravitational
You simply place the water reservoir on a table or shelf above the plants which require watering. The device is connected to a series of drippers which are staked in the soil around each plant. The device will control the flow of water to the plants.
Mains or battery powered
These watering devices work in a similar way, but the water is delivered to the plants by means of a pump, so you don’t need to set the reservoir on a higher level than the plants. The more sophisticated models can be programmed.
